Navistar Recalls International Tractor Trailer Due to Electronic Stability Control

Navistar has announced a voluntary recall of 684 tractor-trailers due to the electronic stability control (ESC) to perceive an over steering on the wheel brake and may result in a crash.

According to the recall notice, if the driver is slow to react during the ESC intervention, the vehicle may deviate from the intended line of travel, potentially leading to a crash. The recalls affects the following vehicles that are equipped with the electronic stability control:

  • Model year 2012 International Prostar manufactured March 2011 to December 2011

Under the recall notice, Navistar will notify owners and dealers will install a new ESC module free of charge. For addition information, owners may contact Navistar at 1-800-448-7825.

If you’ve been severely injured by a recalled product, defective product attorneys may be able to help you pursue a claim for compensation. For more information, call 1-800-BURNETTI.
