John Berke

     Hi, my name is John Berke. I was born in the finger lakes region of upstate New York before relocating to Brooksville, Florida when I was 12 years old.

     After graduating from Hernando High School, I went to the local police academy in Inverness Florida to pursue a boyhood dream of being a police officer. Soon after graduating from the local police academy, I set my sights on being a Florida State Trooper. I am proud to say that I graduated from the 75th recruit class of the Florida Highway Patrol Academy. While a state trooper, I attended Florida Southern College in Lakeland Florida where I obtained with honors my undergraduate degree in business finance. From there I attended and graduated from Barry Law School in Orlando, Florida.

     As a state trooper I saw first hand how insurance companies would immediately begin their investigation of the traffic crash in order to outmaneuver injured victims who were not sophisticated or knowledgeable in insurance practices. It was during this time that I began to have an interest in being an attorney who would dedicate 100% my practice representing citizens that have been injured as a result of someone else's negligence.
