ducduc llc, manufacturer of modern children’s furniture, recently announced a recall of approximately 330 cribs due to fall and entrapment hazards. The recall was initiated because the bottom rails on the crib sides can separate from the sides when the mattress is in the lowest position. This can cause the spindles to separate and the mattress to drop.
The cribs were sold at ducduc’s New York showroom, online at www.ducducnyc.com, at specialty stores and through interior designers nationwide from January 2009 through February 2011 for between $1,500 and $1,800.
The recall involves fixed-side cribs with the model names and item codes ending in 2009, 2010 and 2011 listed below. Owners of ducduc cribs may determine if their crib has been recalled by looking for the name “ducduc” and the item code found on a label located on the mattress panel.
Consumers who own a recalled crib should stop using the crib immediately and contact ducduc at (212) 226-1868 for a free repair kit.
If your child has been severely injured due to a defective crib, you may be able to file a personal injury claim to pursue damages. For more information, call 1-888-BURNETTI.
