Honda has issued a recall on certain Honda Civic 2012 models manufactured between April 21 through May 2, 2011. A small fuel leak associated with the possibility of a misaligned o-ring that seals a connection in the fuel feed line may result in a fire when coupled with an ignition source.
Honda reports that there are potentially 1,156 two-door and four-door Civics affected by this problem, and will mail notices to the owners of those vehicles. Owners of the 2012 Honda Civic manufactured during this time period are encouraged to contact the nearest Honda dealership as soon as they receive the recall notice to have the fuel feed line assembly replaced free of charge.
Owners concerned that their 2012 Honda Civic may have been manufactured during this time may contact Honda at 1-800-999-1009.
