Britax Child Safety Inc. has issued a recall of its B-Nimble Strollers relating to a possible failure with the brake latch.
The brake pedal produces a clicking noice when pressed, which may give the user the false impression that the brake is engaged when it is not; this may allow the stroller to roll away unexpectedly, possibly creating a risk for the child.
Approximately 20,000 of the recalled B-Nimble Strollers were sold nationwide through juvenile product stores, mass merchandise stores, and online retailers from September 2010 to June 2011 for about $200. The strollers were manufactured on or after August 1, 2010. The manufacture date and model number are located on a label near the storage basket on either the lower left or right side frame/ tube. The model number and the matching associated color are listed below:
Black overhead cover w/ cow print seat
Consumers are encouraged to cease use of the recalled strollers and contact Britax for an improved replacement stroller at 1-888-427-4829 Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm EST or on the web at britaxusa.com.
