Target Corporation has recalled the Circo Children’s Task Lamps for possible laceration and fire concerns.
The Circo Children’s Lamps may overheat resulting in the melting of the glue inside the lamp socket. The melted glue may then flow into bulb area of the socket. Melted flammable glue that flows onto a lamp’s electrical components may present a fire risk. Glue that cools down and solidifies at the base of the light bulb may result in a laceration hazard due to the extra force needed to unscrew and replace a burnt out light bulb.
Approximately 13,000 Circo Children’s Lamps are included in this recall that sold for about $13 at Target stores nationwide and at target.com from January 2011 to April 2011. The children’s lamps were available in four different styles with the UPC number located on a label on the bottom of the lamp’s base.
