Volvo is recalling more than 8,000 sedans manufactured from March 8, 2006 through May 16, 2007 due to potential steering problems. An incorrectly routed power steering hose may result in increased pressure to the power steering system which may cause the hose to burst, resulting in a loss of power steering fluid. The driver may then suddenly loose power steering, increasing the risk of a crash.
Volvo is inspecting the routing of the hoses on the recalled vehicles and will make repairs as necessary for free. For more information, owners may contact Volvo at 1-201-768-7300.
If you have been injured in an accident involving a recalled vehicle, defective product lawyers may be able to help you pursue a claim for compensation. Call 1-888-BURNETTI for more information about your legal rights.
