Subaru of America, Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of 31,959 vehicles due to the brake master cylinder that could malfunction and may lead to a crash.
According to the recall notice, the driver could misjudge the amount of brake pedal travel required to stop the car,Â potentially leading to a crash. The recalls affects the following vehicles that are equipped with the brake master cylinder:
- Model year 2012 Subaru Impreza manufactured April 2011 to November 2011
- Model year 2012 Subaru Legacy manufactured from October 2011 to November 2011
- Model year 2012 Subaru Outback manufactured from April 2011 to November 2011
Under the recall notice, Subaru will notify owners and dealers will inspect the brake master cylinder and repair free of charge. For addition information, owners may contact Subaru at 1-800-782-2783.
