Honda is recalling over 300,000 Pilot crossover SUVs due to faulty front seatbelts. According to the recall notice, the stitching that secures the end of the driver and front passenger lap section of the seatbelt may be incomplete or missing. This may cause the seatbelt to detach from it’s anchor, increasing the risk of injury in an accident.
The recalled Honda Pilots are from model year 2009-2011, and were manufactured from March 13, 2008 through August 30, 2011. Under the recall notice, Honda will inspect the seatbelts and, if necessary, replace the seatbelts free of charge.
