Little Tikes, the manufacturer and marketer of children’s products, has issued a recall for more than 1.7 million kids workshops and tool sets. The recall was initiated because the recalled workshop and tool sets have oversized, plastic toy nails that can pose a choking hazard to young children.
The toy nails are part of 11 models of Little Tikes Workshop and tool sets listed below. The toy nails are oversized, red or blue plastic, and about 3 1/4 inches long by 1 1/4 inch in diameter. They have a large round head, and below the nail head there is a plastic ridge, slightly smaller than the nail head and about 1 inch in diameter. Some of the products may have the model number.
The recalled tool sets and workshops were sold nationwide at mass retailers from 1990 through 2004 for between $25 and $100. Consumers should immediately take the toy nails away from young children and contact Little Tikes on their website www.littletikes.com for free replacement toy nails. For more information, consumers may contact Little Tikes at (800) 321-0183.
If your child has been severely injured by a recalled product, a defective product lawyer may be able to help you pursue a claim for compensation. For more information, call 1-888-BURNETTI.
