Kraft Foods has announced a voluntary recall of Velveeta Shells and Cheese because they may contain small, thin wire bristle pieces. The recalled macaroni and cheese single serve microwavable cups may be identified by the “best when used by” date on the bottom of the package.

Approximately 137,000 cases of recalled Velveeta macaroni and cheese were shipped to customers across the United States. No other “best when used by” dates of Velveeta Shells & Cheese Single Serve Microwaveable Cups or any other Kraft Foods products are being recalled. Consumers who purchased the recalled macaroni and cheese cups should not eat the product, and may return them to the store of purchase for an exchange or full refund.
