Daimler Trucks of North America has announced a voluntary recall of 90 vehicles because the rivets that are attached to the handles could cause the window to open during an emergency, which may lead to a crash.
According to the recall notice, the handle may detach during an emergency, which would hinder the ability to open the window, potentially leading to a crash. The recall affects the following vehicles that are equipped with the rivets on the handle:
- Model year 2011 Thomas Built / SAF-T-LINER C2 manufactured from July 2011 to August 2011
Under the recall notice, Daimler Trucks will notify owners of the recalled Thomas Built Buses and will replace the rivets on the handles free of charge. For addition information, owners may contact Daimler Trucks at 1-800-547-0712.
