Chrysler Group has announced a voluntary recall of 5,334 vehicles due to a compromised circuit that may cause the airbag lamp illumination that indicates the airbag may not deploy, which may lead to a crash.
According to the recall notice, a broken wiring assembly on the electrical circuit may result in non-deployment of the front driver airbag, which could result in a crash. The recall affects the following vehicle that is equipped the driver’s airbag clockspring:
- Model year 2008 Jeep Wrangler manufactured from February 2007 to October 2011
Under the recall notice, Chrysler will notify owners and remedy the vehicles free of charge. For addition information, owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.
