General Motors has announced a voluntary recall of 38,444 Pontiac vehicles due to a delay on the seat position sensor, between the stages of the dual-stage frontal passenger air bag, which may lead to a crash.
According to the recall notice, a delay on the seat position sensor in the front passenger air bag may lead to a crash. The recall affects the following vehicle that is equipped with the diagnostic module:
- Model year 2008 Pontiac G8 manufactured from November 2007 to January 2009
Under the recall notice, General Motor Dealers will reprogram the sensing and diagnostic module free of charge. For addition information, owners may contact Pontiac at 1-800-620-7668.
