Honda has announced a voluntary recall of 126,000 motorcycles due to the braking system’s secondary master cylinder that may cause the rear brake to drag and may lead to the rear brake catching fire.
According to the recall notice, the rear brake dragging could generate enough heat to cause a fire. The recalls affects the following vehicles that are equipped with the secondary master cylinder:
- Model year 2001, 2012 Honda GL1800 manufactured from 2001 to 2010 and 2011
Under the recall notice, Honda will notify owners and dealers will inspect the secondary master cylinder and replace it free of charge. For addition information, owners may contact Honda at 1-866-784-1870.
