Fisker has announced a voluntary recall of 239 vehicles due to the battery compartment cover interfering with the hose clamps, potentially causing a coolant leak and may result in a fire.
According to the recall notice, if coolant enters the battery compartment, an electrical short could occur potentially resulting in a fire. The recalls affects the following vehicles that are equipped with the electrical system battery:
- Model year 2012 Fisker Karma manufactured July 2011 through November 2011
Under the recall notice, Fisker will notify owners, and dealers will replace the high-voltage battery with a new part at no cost to the owner. For addition information, owners may contact Fisker Consumer Affairs at 1-855-575-7577, Option 2, 7am â€“ 7pm (PST) Monday through Friday.
