Daimler Trucks North America has announced a voluntary recall of 2,800 buses due to the bulk-head module software that may cause the turn signal to stop functioning and may lead to a crash.
According to the recall notice, the turning signal lights may not illuminate which may cause other drivers to travel in the incorrect direction, potentially leading to a crash. The recalls affects the following vehicles that are equipped with the exterior lighting turn signal:
- Model year 2012 Thomas Built Saf-T-Liner C2 manufactured February 2011 – August 2011
Under the recall notice, DTNA will notify owners and bulk-head module software will be updated by authorized service facilities and free of charge. For addition information, owners may contact DTNA at 1-800-547-0712.
