Navistar has announced a voluntary recall of 338 buses due to the rear brake line may be pinched by a frame member when the kneeling feature is activated, causing the rear brakes to drag.
According to the recall notice, the brakes that drag could overheat and may lead to a fire,Â potentially leading to fire or injury. The recalls affects the following vehicles that are equipped with the brake line:
- Model year 2007 IC HC manufactured August 2004 through May 2010
- Model year 2005 International 3200 manufactured August 2004 through May 2010
Under the recall notice, Navistar will notify owners and dealers and will install a clip to ensure that the brake line cannot be pinched and it will be performed free of charge. For addition information, owners may contact Navistar at 1-800-448-7825.
