Chrysler has announced a voluntary recall of 9,688 vehicles due to the low beam headlamps may fail due to an overheated bulb harness connector, increasing the risk of a crash.
According to the recall notice, the vehicles may lose ABS/ESC system function to an overheated distribution center,Â potentially leading to a crash. The recalls affects the following vehicles that are equipped with the headlamp jumper harness:
- Model year 2011 Dodge Charger manufactured 2011 through 2012
Under the recall notice, Chrysler will notify owners and dealers and will replace the headlamp jumper harnesses and relocate the ABS/ESC system fuse within the power distribution center free of charge. For addition information, owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.
