The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is warning consumers about Mexican mangoes distributed by a California company are contaminated with salmonella Braenderup. The contaminated fruit has already made more than 100 people ill in 16 states.
The contaminated mangoes have a Daniella brand sticker with lot number 3114, 4051, 4311, 4584 or 4959, and were sold between July 12 and August 29, 2012. The fruit, which was distributed by Splendid Products of northern California, should not be eaten and thrown away immediately.
