Actor Russell Brand is facing a nearly one million-dollar lawsuit after reportedly striking a pedestrian with his car last year. The pedestrian, Victor Sneed, is seeking a total of $850,000 in damages related to the accident. Sneed claims he has already spent $45,000 in medical expenses related to his injuries, and will require at least $140,000 more for additional surgical procedures.
The English comedian reportedly struck the man in January 2012 in Los Angeles. Early reports indicated Sneed was only seeking $25,000 in damages, but the total has now risen. Brand’s representatives claim he is not to blame for the incident.
