Fred & Friends is recalling almost 57,000 “Buff Baby” baby rattles due to choking hazards. There have been two incident reports of the rattle ends separating, leaving the small parts inside open for congestion. The small pellet sized parts can cause small children to choke.
“Buff Baby” rattles are gray and shaped in the form of a dumbbell. Measuring 5.5 inches long, the rattle is embossed with “0.2” on both ends. The recalled rattles were sold in toy stores across the United States and in Canada and also online at www.amazon.com from October 2011 through June 2013. The packaging is clear and features a picture of a young girl lifting the rattle on the side cover. Located on the bottom of the package is the UPC code 728987019098.
Customers who are in possession of the recalled “Buff Baby” rattles are advised to remove the rattles from young children and to contact Fred & Friends for a full refund.
