Johnson & Johnson has issued a recall on over 200,000 bottles of Infant Motrin Drops due to possible contamination with specs of plastic. The popular Original Berry Flavor is one of the lots recalled. The medicine is commonly used for treating fever and pain in children two years old or younger.
Manufactured by a third party supplier, Johnson & Johnson issued the recall after reports of PTFE particles, used in Teflon coatings, were reportedly found in other shipments of ibuprofen. The recalled half-ounce bottle lot numbers are: DCB3T01, DDB4R01, and DDB4S01.
Johnson & Johnson advises retailers to remove the product from shelves and consumers to stop using the medicine and call 1-877-414-7709 for refund information.
