Winn-Dixie has recalled Taylor Farms Spinach Anitpasti Salad for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination in an expansion from the Reser’s Fine Food recall. The Spinach Antipasti Salads were sold in the deli department in stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi between the dates of October 19, 2013 through October 27, 2013.
Listeria monocytogenes infections can cause symptoms such as fever, muscle aches, stiff neck, loss of balance and convulsions, confusion, and gastrointestinal issues. Those highest at risk are the young, seniors, and pregnant women. Listeriosis infections can cause stillbirths or premature delivery.
Winn-Dixie has removed the recalled product from shelves, but advises customers who purchased the possibly contaminated items to throw them out. Winn-Dixie offers full refunds to customers with a receipt or product label as proof of purchase.
