LaRose Industries has recalled Snoopy Sno-Cone machines for mouth injury risks by brass rivets. There are at least 64 reports of rivets loosening and falling out of the sno-cone machine’s ice-shaving cylinder and into a sno-cone. The brass rivets in a sno-cone can cause injuries to the teeth, mouth, and throat if swallowed.
Approximately 102,000 Snoopy Sno-Cone machines were sold between September 2012 and July 2013 in Barnes & Noble, Target, and Toys R Us stores. Consumers can locate the recalled batch numbers on the back of the white doghouse and on the side of the box. The batch numbers are BCH003005A28-0812, BCHTRU001A17-0812, or BCHTRU004A16-0712.
Consumers are warned to stop using the sno-cone machines and are advised not to return the sno-cone machines to stores. Instead, consumers are to contact LaRose Industries for a new ice shaving cylinder and a free repair kit.
