Ford has recalled 100,566 vehicles in six separate recalls for various defects that can cause injuries. The largest number of cars recalled include the 2013-2014 Taurus, Lincoln MKS, and Police Interceptor sedans, as well as, the Flex and Lincoln crossovers. Also included in the recall are 2012-2014 Edge and the 2014 Lincoln MKX models. According to Ford, the axle may disengage and can make the vehicles inoperable.
Ford is also recalling F59 commercial stripped chassis model years 2011-2014 due to corrosion which can cause fires and a safety risk. An additional 2,124 Ford Escape SUVs with the model year 2014, are also recalled due to the possibility of glass roofs that can leak or fall out on top of drivers and passengers.
Ford will notify owners of the recalled vehicles and Ford dealers will make repairs at no cost.
