CoScentrix recalls 256,000 DD branded candles in an expansion of a former recall. The candles’ high flame can cause the surface of the wax to ignite and cause fire hazards. The Consumer Product Safety Commission is aware of 29 incidents, including nine reports of property damage and at least one injury. The recalled candles were sold exclusively at Hobby Lobby in 55 various sizes, jars, fragrances, and colors. Consumers can locate the DD logo and fragrance and size on the hand tag attached to the jars. The SKU numbers are located on the bottom of each jar. Candles were sold nationwide at Hobby Lobby stores and at hobbylobby.com from June through October 2014.

Consumers are advised to stop using the candles and return them to Hobby Lobby stores. Consumers with a receipt will get a full refund; consumers without a receipt will get store credit. If purchased online, consumers need to contact CoScentrix for information on how to return the recalled candles.
