Sea Gull Lighting has recalled various chandeliers because the screw collar that attaches to the celieng mount may break causing the chandelier to fall. An unexpected falling chandelier can pose injury hazards and over $1,600 worth of property damage has already been reported.
The chandeliers were sold from November 2006 through August 2013 at Lowe’s Wesco, Amazon.com, HomeDepot.com, and at other nationwide retailers. The recall includes seven different collections: Brandywine, Laurel Leaf, New Verona, Newport, Parkview, Roslyn, and Somerton. The chandeliers contain two or three tiers and were sold in a variety of metal finishes.

Consumers can contact Sea Gull Lighting to receive a free replacement for chandeliers that have fallen or for a free replacement hardware kit. In the meantime, consumers are warned from going into the area around the hanging chandeliers.
