In 2011, our client was involved in a motor vehicle collision with the tortfeasor, who was negligent in operating a vehicle owned by his employer while in the course and scope of his employment. As a result of the collision, our client suffered injuries to his neck and back, including a bulging disc with annular tear and right sided herniation at L5-S1. As a result, our client underwent a lumbar microendoscopic diskectomy. The defendants initially offered $60,000.00 to settle our client’s claims for damages. After a lawsuit was filed, the offer increased to $80,000.00 and then to $125,000.00. On the eve of trial, the defendants once again increased their offer to $175,000.00, which our client agreed to accept and the case was settled.
