Our client was a restrained passenger in a vehicle traveling eastbound on S.R. 60. The tortfeasor was stopped at a road to make a left turn, when she abruptly pulled right and struck the clients vehicle. The collision was extensive, and the tortfeasor was cited for DUI. It was later confirmed that the tortfeasor’s vehicle had been stolen and the insurance was not accepting liability. Our client had knee surgery in 2015, and the insurance tendered the $100,000 policy limits in 2016.
