Jimmy Dean is recalling a run of French Toast & Sausage Sandwiches for containing the undeclared allergens egg and soy. The breakfast sandwiches are wrapped in butcher’s paper and sold in food service establishments. Egg and soy are not listed in the ingredient statement, and people who are allergic to these items could have serious, life-threatening reactions if they eat this product.
The breakfast sandwiches affected by this recall were distributed in Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia, and have the UPC CODE 5450051434 and the code 12292P1 on the back of the packaging. Other Jimmy Dean products sold in grocery stores are not affected.
Consumers may return affected product to the store where it was purchased for a full refund. Consumers who may have questions or concerns should call the special toll-free consumer line at 1-888-914-1247. The consumer line is available from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time Saturday and Sunday, and 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST Monday – Friday.
