Chrysler has announced a voluntary recall of 303 vehicles due to tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) increasing the risk of a crash.
According to the recall notice, under inflated tires can result in tire overloading and overheating, potentially increasing the risk of a crash. The recalls affects the following vehicles that are equipped with the TPMS:
- Model year 2012 Chrysler 300 manufactured May 2011 to November 2011
- Model year 2012 Dodge Charger manufactured May 2011 to November 2011
Under the recall notice, Chrysler will notify owners and dealers will reprogram the vehicle’s TPMS free of charge. For addition information, owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.
