Excite USA has issued a recall for its Military Copters product sold exclusively at Rite Aids nationwide due to a laceration hazard. The toy helicopters were sold from January 2011 to May 2011 for about $7.
The Military Copter’s plastic blades may detach from the helicopter’s body posing a laceration hazard. About 24,000 helicopters were sold with two laceration injuries reported in relation to the blades separating from the product.
The recalled Military Copters are sold with two helicopters in each pack, 7” and 11” in length. The helicopters are tan and black and also come with two manual rotary starters. The front of the package is labeled “Military Copters with 2 Launchers” and the two manual starters have “Military Copter” marked on both sides. The model number 9909935 and the UPC 680108044474 located on the back of the package near the bar code may be used to identify the recalled product.
Customers are encouraged to remove the toy helicopters from a child’s possession and return the item to Rite Aid for a full refund. Additional questions may directed to Excite USA at 1-866-791-4754 from 10am to 6pm EST Monday through Friday or by visiting the company’s website at www.excite-limited.com to view the recall report.
