Ford has announced a voluntary recall of 5,499 sport utility vehicles due fuel line pulse damper metal housing that may crack resulting in a fuel leak, increasing the risk of a fire.
According to the recall notice, a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may potentially lead to a vehicle fire. The recalls affects the following vehicles that are equipped with the fuel system:
Model year 2012 Ford Edge SUV manufactured September 2010 through October 2011
