Motor Coach Industries, Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of 1,962 vehicles due to the electronic stability control system that might cause steering issues and may lead to a crash.
According to the recall notice, if a driver has a slow reaction, the vehicle may deviate from the line of travel, potentially leading to a fire or crash. The recalls affects the following vehicles that are equipped with the electronic stability control:
- Model year 2007 Motor Coach D4000, D4000ISTV, D4005, D4500, and D4505 manufactured from 2007 to 2012
- Model year 2003 Motor Coach 4500 manufactured from 2003 to 2012
- Model year 2003 Motor Coach J4500 manufactured from 2003 to 2012
Under the recall notice, Motor Coach Industries will notify owners and will replace the control module free of charge. For addition information, owners may contact Motor Coach Industries at 1-800-241-2947.
