Nissan has announced a voluntary recall of 11,076 vehicles due to an incomplete weld penetration, the rear seat back striker may partially separate in a crash, increasing the risk of an injury to the rear seat passengers.
According to the recall notice, in the event of a crash, the rear seat back many not be secured, resulting in an injury risk to the back seat occupants. The recalls affects the following vehicles that are equipped with the seat back strikers:
- Model year 2012 Nissan Juke manufactured February 2012 through May 2012
Under the recall notice, Nissan will notify owners and dealers will replace the affected back seat strikers and it will be performed free of charge. For additional information, owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
