Nissan Quest Recalled Because of Engine Stalling
Nissan has announced a voluntary recall of 23,531 vehicles due to the engine that may stall due to the insufficient fuel supply, increasing the risk of a crash.
According to the recall notice, a software glitch, driving or idling at low speeds on a decline with less than a quarter tank of gas there could be an insufficient supply of fuel to the engine, which could make the engine stall, potentially leading to a crash. The recalls affects the following vehicles that are equipped with the fuel pump control module:
- Model year 2011 Nissan Quest manufactured July 2010 through February 2012
Under the recall notice Nissan will notify owners and dealers will reprogram the fuel pump control module and it will be performed free of charge. For additional information, owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7281.
