Micro Bird has announced a voluntary recall of 48 school buses due to 2 lower anchorages which are used to restrain a portable child seat that were not installed which violates federal motor vehicle safety standards.
According to the recall notice, a portable child restraint will only be secured by a seat belt instead of the seat belt and lower anchorages, potentially resulting in an injury in event of a crash. The recalls affects the following vehicles that are equipped with the front seat belts:
- Model year 2011 Micro Bird MB II manufactured August 2011 through September 2011
Under the recall notice, Micro Bird will notify owners and dealers will install the missing lower anchorages free of charge. For addition information, owners may contact Micro Bird at 1-819-477-2012.
