TJX Companies, Inc. has issued a recall due to a choking hazard associated with its Emma’s Garden Polka-Dot girls’ dresses.
The girls’ dresses, available in sizes 12 months to 5T, have three round, white, decorative buttons on the front of the dress that may possibly detach, posing a choking hazard for children.
Approximately 21,000 dresses were sold nationwide at TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores nationwide from February 2011 to May 2011 for about $13. TJ Maxx sold the pink dresses with white polka dots only, while Marshalls sold only the black dresses with white polka dots. A tag located on the back collar of the dress displaying the number TJX-80327TDS1 may identify the recalled dresses.
Consumers are encouraged to return the dresses to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers may also call 1-800-926-6299 Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm EST or visit www.tjmaxx.com or www.marshallsonline.com for more information.
