J.T. was traveling home from work on his motorcycle when the defendant swerved into his lane of travel. J.T. took evasive action by swerving to his left, i.e., defendant’s designated lane. As a result of the crash, J.T. lost the use of his right leg and several fingers were amputated. The defendant denied liability. After a two-day trial on liability only, the jury returned a verdict acknowledging that the defendant was 100% responsible for the motorcycle accident.
