Personal Injury – D.T.

I was born in Tuskegee, Alabama. We moved to Florida when I was about six weeks old, and I’ve been a resident of Florida ever since.

In July of two thousand nine, I had an accident. I was walking into my trailer and the step kind of popped up from where it needed to be fixed. I fell in my doorway and fractured the fibula and the tibia bone in my left leg.

This actually happened on a Thursday night. I was transported by EMS services to Winter Haven Hospital. When I got there, the doctor on call told me that I would need to have emergency surgery, which took place that Saturday.

I had to end up having a rod and a plate put in my leg, and I was in the hospital for about a week after the surgery. It’s a permanent rod that will be in my leg forever.

When I was in the hospital, a couple of different people came to see me and told me that I should get an attorney. At the time, I really wasn’t thinking about it because I was mainly focused on getting well.

After I got out of the hospital, a mutual friend of the family mentioned again that I should get an attorney, and they mentioned your name. Then we were riding to Lakeland and I actually saw the billboard. I said, “Okay, I’m going to call them,” and I ended up calling.

Since I’ve been with this law firm, I haven’t been shown anything but respect. Anytime I call and ask questions about things I don’t understand, someone like Jessica or Rebecca will call me right back and explain it.

I feel like they take the time to help me understand what’s going on. Even if I don’t understand something the first time, they’re willing to explain it again and walk me through everything that’s happening.
