Two people lost their lives in a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Davie, Florida on Tuesday, August 11. Another person sustained non-critical injuries in the collision.

According to the details shared by the authorities, the crash took place in the 7300 block of the Griffin Road. The two men who were killed in the collision were traveling westbound on the Griffin Road at the time of the crash. As they took a left turn on the road, another vehicle traveling eastbound on the road collided with them.

The T-bone collision caused serious damage to the vehicle turning left. Both occupants of the vehicle struck by the eastbound driver sustained serious injuries. By the time the first responders arrived on the scene of the crash, one of them had succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other man was rushed to an area hospital. However, subsequent reports reveal that his injuries were not life-threatening. The driver of the eastbound vehicle also sustained some injuries although his injuries are also reported as non-life-threatening.

The incident occurred at night on Tuesday and was reported to the authorities at around 7 p.m. Police haven’t released the identities of any of the persons involved in the crash. Following the incident, police closed down both the eastbound and westbound lanes of the road. The lanes remained closed for some time as the police conducted on-site investigations.

For now, the focus of the investigations is to determine exactly how the incident occurred. Police are also trying to find out which of the two drivers was liable. The usual factors including impairment and speeding have not been ruled out so far. Subsequent reports from the police upon the conclusion of investigations may confirm whether any of the drivers is held liable and if any charges will be brought against any of them.
