Brevard County Crash on I-95 Leaves Four Dead

There was a crash on the Interstate 5 on Tuesday, Nov 26. The tragic Brevard County crash leaves four people dead, 50 miles from Orlando.

According to the authorities, the accident happened when a semi-truck collided with a pickup truck. The semi-truck was transporting cars at the time. Charlie Doles, 60, was driving the truck at the time of crash. The pickup truck was also traveling in the same direction as the semi-truck. It was hauling a land excavator.

The crash happened when the axles of the pickup truck came apart. They rolled under the semi-truck which lost control and collided into the pickup truck.

The pickup truck had one driver and three drivers at the time. The driver has been identified as Juan Magana, 30. The passengers include Jose Magana, 38, Jaime Magana, 50 and Jose Magana Guil, 58. Only the driver of the pickup was wearing a seatbelt.

As the semi-truck hit the pickup truck, the latter ran off the road and overturned. The driver and all three passengers in the pickup sustained serious injuries. Three passengers of the pickup died at the scene of the accident while the fourth succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The semi-truck also ran off the road after colliding with the pickup truck. However, the driver of the semi remained relatively unharmed with no significant injuries.

Investigations of the crash are still ongoing. In its preliminary findings, police authorities have revealed that none of the drivers was under the influence, so alcohol is not a factor. However, it is still unclear what caused the accident and whether any negligence on the part of the drivers played any part. Once the fault is declared, it may also become clearer whether are charges will likely be filed against the driver of the semi-truck.
